Winter Fashion
Hello everyone! Merry Christmas to my readers! All those that celebrate, hope you have a wonderful christmas time! 😊 And those who don't, hope you are enjoying the christmas break! 😊 Today i'm back with a different kind of blog. I know i only mostly talk about make up, i havn't really blogged about anything else. So today I thought, i will blog about something different!
Today's blog is about Winter Fashion. When winter comes, some people like to look trendy while some people like to relax & wear warm clothing 👗👢👖In the summer, cotton clothing keeps us cool and fresh. Whilst in the winter, thick woolly clothing keep us snug & warm. But fashion trends change all the time, so keeping up with trends will make us look fashionable aswell as modern 👍
Each year fashion shows tend to highlight key pieces that they suggest will go with most certain pieces of clothing. As for color coding, some colors look more striking when worn in winter time than in any other time, like deep plums & dark reds. But I guess it's all down to the individual who likes to style it their own way. Some people mix & match items and make their own fashion statement, whilst others need help co-ordinating bits and pieces to make a stylish outfit 👒👓
People are often put off from dressing smartly, as they think they don't suit it, or have not experimented before, so they don't bother. But you never know if you don't try. Here i've put together some items of clothing that are on trend aswell as look good on almost everybody.
Gloves serve the purpose of keeping our hands warm. With many colors & designs available, it's upto you whichever you like. Some people like leather gloves with fur lining which gives it a fashionable look. Thermal gloves & woolly knitted gloves feel warm & cosy. There are also fingerless gloves available, for those who like the retro look. There are so many designs and colors to choose from, so you'll never be out of choice when buying gloves. And the best thing about gloves? 1 size fits all! 😜
Coats seem to be seasonal items these days. Every year, fashionistas try to come up with certain colors to highlight a winter look. For example, 1 year deep orange color would be the key color for winter coats, & the following year, the new color for winter would be black. But then mixing different colors together to match with a certain color coat will make you stand out and look trendy. It's all about color co-ordination & how you make the colors work in your style. There are also many designs available in coats too, like military style, Parker coats, Woollen coats etc. Finding your style will make selection easier. Look around shops to see how they style their Mannequins, what people are wearing aswell as look through magazines & social media to see if there is anything you like which may prompt you to try various designs & colors. With so much choice, i'm sure there will be something you can play around with to find the fashion that best fits your personality! 😊
Jumpers & Cardigans also create a smart look for winter. There are many designs & materials available for jumpers & cardigans. Nowadays is the Christmas Jumper trend. Every year stylists are making christmas jumpers specifically for christmas time that people of all ages can wear & feel in the mood and spirit of christmas. It's a fashion fad that has been going on for quite a few years now, making it a jolly idea to feel all christmassy! 😄🎄
Cardigans & jumpers can be accessorised with pretty brooches or belts to make it look more pretty. Some creative people will also sew on some diamonds & sequins to personalise their jumpers or cardigans and make it look extra special. So if you are feeling artistic, you may also want to have a go yourself! 😉
Scarfs are pretty much the icing on the cake when it comes to winter fashion. So much choice in scarfs that some people have a huge collection of scarfs that they wear not only in winter time but any other time aswell. Nowadays scarfs are so versatile, that you can wear them in 101 ways! 😄 there are tutorials on youtube showing the many ways to wear scarfs from belts to cardigan, aswell as turbans to just draping it over your shoulder etc, etc. There are thick scarfs to thin scarfs worn around the neck or over the head as a snood.
Boots form an essential part of winter fashion. Footwear for this time of year needs to keep your feet warm aswell as be sturdy for the weather. Boots tend to be comfortable to wear due to the materials that make them up, and when it has fleece lining inside them, these boots feel extra warm & snuggly! 💖 There are many designs and colors to choose from so when shopping for boots, be sure to try them on to get the perfect fit.
Socks keep your feet warm, but when they are colorful they look funky! There are bright socks, dark socks. Spotty socks, stripey socks. Knee high socks & slouchy socks. Colorful socks and patterned socks. With so much variety in socks, you can wear whatever tickles your fancy! 😄
Keeping warm indoors is just as important as it is outdoors. Winter fashion doesn't only mean for outdoor clothing, indoor clothing can also be fashionable too. Lazy days spent at home in comfy warm clothing keeps us warm aswell as look good for winter indoors. Snuggled up in front of the fire in cozy Pyjamas & Robes makes winter fashion top of my fashion list! 💖
