Eggs are very nutritious, and high in protein. I love eggs and they are so versatile you can cook them in many ways! π£ Egg whites have been used as a mask for a very long time! This mask helps to tighten pores, so if you need something to help close your open/large pores, then this mask is for you! π
To make this mask:

Apply all over your face to tighten your pores and smooth out fine lines. Leave it on for 10 mins and wash your face with cool water. Don't use warm or hot water, as it opens your pores. So for problem skin I suggest cool water. Your face will look refined and smooth. π
Orange peel mask
Oranges are juicy, tangy and yummy! π High in vitamin C and good for you, this make a great mask! But before you can use this mask, there's something you need to do... Dry the orange peels! π Do this is advance, and sun dry or air dry, according to the weather, a good quantity of Orange peels. When fully dry, crush the peels to make it into a smooth powder.

Leave it on for 10-15 mins or until it is dry. Slightly dampen your face and rub the mask in circular motions to loosen and lift off the dried mask aswell as the dead skin cells too! Your face will look clean and bright! π
Gramflour & Turmeric face mask
This is a asian style face mask using indian spices. This concoction of ingredients make it look like you are cooking on your face, but trust me your not! π Gram flour also known as Besan is made from finely milled chick peas, is good for your skin when used as a mask. Gram flour is anti bacterial, and contain high amounts of carbohydrates, protein and fibre. This mask is a must do, if you want to remove peach fuzz or retard hair growth on your face. It's a very effective remedy and when used regularly may even permanently get rid of your unwanted hair! π€
To make this mask:
In a small bowl or dish, put 1 tablespoon of Gram flour. Then add in equal quantity; 1 teaspoon lemon juice & 1 teaspoon of honey.
Mix all of these ingredients together thoroughly until you have a smooth pastey consistency. Then apply to your face for 10-15 mins or until dry. Then with moistened hands, gently rub the mask to exfoliate the skin and wash with warm water, as the mask will be dry and messy to wash off. But the results will be amazing! π
Honey, lemon juice & Green Tea mask
This is another fantastic face mask that does a world of good for our skin! Green Tea ☕ has a whole host of health benefits, but what about when we put it on our skin? How do you mean? You may ask? Simple! By using it as a face mask! π€ All you need to do is:
Soak a bag or two of green tea (any of your choice) in a cup. Then squeeze the bag and open the tea bag and empty the tea leaves into a small bowl. Next add a teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey. Mix all the ingredients together and apply all over your face. Leave for 15 mins and relax. Let your face soak in all the goodness from the green tea leaves. Then wash the mask off.
This mask will hydrate and refresh your skin with a healthy looking glow. Also helps to brighten dull looking skin. π
Brightening & Exfoliating face scrub mask
I really love this power mask! π Instantly brightens your face and gives a radiant glow, this mask is most popular. Ever so easy to make and can be used often as needed, it's a quick fix for looking gorgeous in no time! Here's how to make this scrub:
Put 1 teaspoon of Sugar, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice or 1 teaspoon milk. Half a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of Turmeric in a small bowl and mix well. With the help of make up brush, apply this mixture to your face. Using circular motions, scrub your face . The grainy mixture helps to exfoliate your skin gently, helping to remove surface dirt and dead skin. Leave for 5 mins. Then wash thoroughly, as some people may find that turmeric stains their skin.
You can make this mask either with lemon juice or milk as these ingredients help to brighten your skin naturally and effectively.
* where it says to use lemon juice you can use milk instead as both these ingredients have the same brightening effects. However, don't use these two ingredients together at the same time, as lemon juice curdles milk, so thats a definate No-No! π
Also another note to remember is depending on your skin type:
Skin Types
If you have Oily skin, use Lemon juice or milk as lemon juice is an Astringent that helps to control a shiny outbreak.
For Normal & Dry skin type, both milk and honey are hydrating and moisturising, and help to maintain plump and fresh looking skin.
And for combination skin, you need to get the balance right. So on the days where your skin is looking Oily, use lemon juice and a little olive oil, so you strip away the surplus oil and hydrate with olive oil. And for the days when your skin is looking dry, use a little olive oil with honey to soften the skin and replenish it with olive oil.
Olive oil is full of goodness and does wonders for your skin, helping to look youthful and prolong the signs of aging. So for oily skin, do not use olive oil in the face masks, rather after doing the masks, use a light moisturiser to hydrate but not overload the skin, because too much oil blocks your pores and your skin can't breathe, leading to outbreaks and a very shiny face! π
Olive oil can be added to the face masks for normal and dry skins, as they can tolerate and welcome the much needed hydration especially for dry skin types.
Although these face masks are suitable for all skin types, please note that where required based on your skin type, an ingredient or two will need to be added or omitted, so take a minute to read the information carefully regarding skin types π
